"Worthy Is the Lamb"
(Verse 1)
I saw a scroll in the right hand
Of the One upon the throne,
Sealed seven times with mystery,
No one worthy, all alone.
I wept in sorrow, no one could break
The seals to read inside,
Until the Elder whispered hope,
“The Lion has arrived.”
(Pre-Chorus)
Behold the Lion of Judah,
The Root of David’s line,
He triumphed over death and sin—
Eternal, so divine.
(Chorus)
Worthy, worthy is the Lamb,
Slain to set the captives free.
By His blood, He purchased souls
From every tribe and tongue to be
A kingdom of priests unto our God,
And they shall reign on earth.
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
Exalted in His worth.
(Verse 2)
I saw a Lamb, once slain, yet living,
Standing by the throne so bright.
Seven horns and eyes of perfect power,
Sent forth in holy might.
He took the scroll, and heaven bowed,
With harps and golden bowls—
The prayers of saints like incense rose,
A new song filled their souls.
(Bridge)
Myriads of angels rose around
In voices thund’rous strong,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,”
Became creation’s song.
All creatures in heaven, on earth, and seas
Joined in praise profound,
“To Him who sits upon the throne
And the Lamb—let glory resound!”
(Chorus repeated)
Worthy, worthy is the Lamb,
Slain to set the captives free.
By His blood, He purchased souls
From every tribe and tongue to be
A kingdom of priests unto our God,
And they shall reign on earth.
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
Exalted in His worth.
(Outro)
Amen, the creatures cry aloud,
While elders bow in awe,
The Lamb has taken up the scroll,
Fulfilling heaven’s law.
Forever praised, forever crowned,
All hearts in worship stand—
Worthy is the Lamb who reigns,
The Lion and the Lamb.
