Inspired by Revelation 5

(Verse 1)
I saw a door in heaven open wide,
A trumpet’s call inviting me inside.
"Come up here," the voice declared, so clear,
To show the things that soon will appear.
(Verse 2)
In the Spirit, my eyes beheld the sight—
A throne on high, bathed in radiant light.
He sat in glory, like jasper and carnelian bright,
Encircled by an emerald rainbow shining in the night.
(Pre-Chorus)
Surrounded by twenty-four thrones in a line,
Elders in white with crowns that truly shine.
(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come—eternally!
From flashes of lightning, thunder rolling on high,
All creation sings Your praise, reaching to the sky.
(Verse 3)
Before the throne, seven torches burned like fire,
The seven spirits of God lifting ever higher.
Before a sea of glass, crystal clear and bright,
Four living creatures surround the throne in sight.
(Bridge)
One like a lion, strong and bold,
Another, a calf, with a heart of gold.
A face like a man, with wisdom to impart,
And an eagle soaring, a symbol of a mighty heart.
Each with six wings and eyes all around,
Their ceaseless song of praise is the only sound.
(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come—eternally!
The living creatures and elders join in one accord,
Worshiping You, our Creator and our Lord.
(Verse 4)
When the creatures give glory, honor, and thanks on high,
The twenty-four elders fall, their crowns they decry.
Before the One who reigns forevermore,
They cast their crowns, their praises they pour.
(Outro)
"Worthy are You, our Lord and God," they proclaim,
"To receive glory, honor, and power in Your name.
For You created all things by Your divine will—
In awe and reverence, our hearts with You are still."
He who has an ear, let him hear and understand,
The everlasting truth of Your mighty hand.
