"Letters to Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea"
(Verse 1: To the Church in Sardis)
These are the words of the One
Who holds the Spirit and the stars.
You claim you live, but your flame is gone,
A name without a spark.
Wake up from your slumber,
Strengthen what remains—
Turn from empty deeds undone
Before the hour’s claimed.
(Chorus)
He who has an ear, let him hear the Spirit’s call,
For the worthy walk in white and need not fear the fall.
He’ll keep their names forever in His Book of Life so grand—
Confessing them before the throne, in the presence of angels, they stand.
(Verse 2: To the Church in Philadelphia)
These are the words of Him who’s true,
The key of David in His hand.
He opens doors no one can close
Across this weary land.
You have kept My word with just a spark,
Yet never denied My name—
An open door awaits your heart,
No power can close that frame.
(Chorus)
He who has an ear, let him hear the Spirit’s call,
Hold fast to what you have, stand firm and never fall.
The overcomer stands a pillar in God’s temple bright,
Bearing a holy name from heaven, glowing in eternal light.
(Verse 3: To the Church in Laodicea)
These are the words of the Amen,
Creator, faithful, and true.
You’re neither hot nor cold, you drift in sin—
Lukewarm through and through.
You say, “I’m rich, in need of none,”
But naked, blind you roam.
I stand and knock—hear My voice call—
Invite Me in your home.
(Bridge)
Buy pure gold refined by fire,
Clothe your soul in white.
Anoint your eyes to truly see,
And turn from sin’s dark night.
Those I love, I’ll reprimand,
So earnestly repent.
Share the throne I hold on high
When your heart is heaven-bent.
(Chorus)
He who has an ear, let him hear the Spirit’s call,
From Sardis to Laodicea, the warnings reach us all.
To the one who overcomes, there’s victory in His name—
They’ll sit upon His throne on high and share in Jesus’ reign.
(Outro)
Hear what the Spirit says to the churches far and near,
Take to heart these warnings given—let reverence banish fear.
The doors are opened, and the path to grace is in your sight—
Stand strong in faith, overcome, and walk in sacred light.
